Season 2015/16
Basketball Team from Moon Chun Memorial College Won the UM 3-on-3 Basketball Competition (Men’s Group) Championship
On the February 20 and 21, 2016, Moon Chun Memorial College sent two teams to participate in “UM Sports Events 2015/2016-UM 3-on-3 Basketball Competition”. In total, twenty teams across the residential colleges joined in this exciting competition. MCM College were the most active players: featuring in four teams (18 basketball players) including a women’s team. We were billed as the largest of residential college representatives.
MCMC1 was formed with Marshall Yin, Wong Hou Chio, Lam Ka Fai, Bruce Sio and Si Tou Hou, and highly regarded as one of the strongest teams among the men’ s groups. On the first day, they successfully marched into the final with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. In the play-off, Marshall Yin tactfully led his players, winning all 5 matches. In the end, MCMC1 won the Cup competition.
MCMC2 followed closely with a victory in the Plate competition. As the competition adopted the round-robin format, each team has to compete with all the other teams for advancing to the next round. MCM College teams enjoyed a successful competition with thoroughly deserved victories.
